Missing Celebrities Whose Disappearances Remain a Mystery

Swedish director Daniel Lind Lagerlof has gone missing and presumed dead after not returning from a reconnaissance mission on Sweden's west coast. Lagerloff, 42, disappeared when he was searching for a location for the film and TV adaptation for The Fjallbacka Murders from Camilla Lackberg's best-selling crime.

He and two crew members headed to the Tjurpannan Nature Reserve to scout the site on a cliffside on Sweden's west coast. The weather was bad, windy and rainy. Swedish police conducted a thorough search of the area using helicopters and dogs. They said they had given up hope of finding a living Lagerloff, supposing the director slipped and fell into the sea.
