Alaska is Not Home to Alaskan Bush People

Although Alaskan Bush People is fascinating, viewers began to question whether the Brown family was actually in the show after years of following them. This was made worse after Bam Bam and Billy admitted to second-degree deception charges for pretending to live in Alaska in 2015 even though they were actually residing somewhere else.

Full-time residents are granted money from the Alaskan Permanent Fund Division as a perk to stay in Alaska. According to Juneau Empire, they received a month in prison and were required to pay thousands in fines and reparations.
