In the 1980s, Andrew McCarthy was a genuine star who is most remembered for co-starring with Molly Ringwald in the film Pretty in Pink. He brought back some great youthful memories and was the epitome of hotness. Later, he shifted his focus from acting to writing. He contributed as an editor to the National Geographic Traveler magazine and wrote for a number of other publications. While he occasionally featured on TV shows, he hasn't been seen much on the big screen since Pretty in Pink.
