Vote Wimp?
In 2012, Newsweek proudly presented us with a delightful cover featuring Mitt Romney, the Republican nominee, and the bold question: "Is Mitt Romney a wimp?"
Accompanied by an equally scathing story, Newsweek proceeded to dissect every aspect of Romney's character, labeling him as someone who dodged the press, hid his tax returns, and feared his own political base. They even had the audacity to question whether his supposed insecurity made him unfit for the presidency.
Of course, Romney didn't take kindly to this portrayal. He cleverly responded by pointing out that a similar tactic was previously employed against George Herbert Walker Bush, who went on to become a revered president. As for being called a wimp, Romney conveniently claimed not to recall such a label ever being thrown his way.
